Back in 2008 I did a series of paintings about the stories people tell and I called it "Tell A Tales".

Recently I attended a Quilt Show at the Shell Point Village   (on the way to Sanibel) .   I was

thinking about how similar the two were.  I grew up around people who made quilts.  Although I

never made quilts. I did make a quilt Patch and include it in a show where entries would chosen to be in

a completed quilt.  My patch was chosen .  It was fun.. I thought I would show you my Tell A Tale

series and also pictures of some of the quilts I took at the show.........enjoy!

New York Times ran an interesting article on"Shock me if you can". this week. I was going to respond but when I did they changed their format and now you have to sign in and stuff and I said I'll just put it on my Blog. The article was about whether or not you are still able to shock in the art world.  My response is  " The whole world is in shock today and trying to shock in art is redundant. I feel people are looking for security in things they know.  beauty, an escape, and peace . And shocking art is just not going to do it.    Read the article on NYT's and feel free to add a comment here..  Have a great day!

On the latest ,   I agree with Bloomberg!
