New York Times ran an interesting article on"Shock me if you can". this week. I was going to respond but when I did they changed their format and now you have to sign in and stuff and I said I'll just put it on my Blog. The article was about whether or not you are still able to shock in the art world.  My response is  " The whole world is in shock today and trying to shock in art is redundant. I feel people are looking for security in things they know.  beauty, an escape, and peace . And shocking art is just not going to do it.    Read the article on NYT's and feel free to add a comment here..  Have a great day!

Congratulations to the Shell Factory on its 75th Birthday

US Coast Guard Mohawk cutter soon to be artificial reef off of Ft Myers Beach.  The Mohawk as it was known during WW2 fought in the battle of the Atlantic and the Normandy invasion. She was later a weather ship in the Northern Atlantic and later a Floating Museum out of Miami. Next time you see it you will be underwater off of Ft Myers Beach.

Wow, If you can believe it we are well into January (11th) and I am just getting started on my blog for the year. Too many things todo. What I have decided to do , since I live in Florida and there are a million visitors crawling all over the place, is give you my Interpretation of Southwest Florida a few frames at a time.
